Greetings from our staycation or actually the last moments of it. This half term we just stayed home which is a very unusual move from us, wouldn't you agree?
We did have quite a lot of things to do at home after finishing our living room refurnishing last week, all that unpacking needed to be done. I also managed to get some older toys out the house which is really an achievement as 6-year-olds a) do not want to throw away anything and b) will notice if you try to do it behind their backs. So well done me, "a few" more to go.
|Note to self: rugby-kengät ovat ihan peevelin kovat, eivät sovellu kevyeen pallotteluun äidin kanssa, nimimerkillä sääret mustelmilla. - Rugby shoes are not for playing ball with Mum, ouch my legs.|
It wasn't just sitting at home holiday, oh no, we did also spend a long day in the park and take part in a wonderful forest school, "camping without camping" as my colleague said, and learned about bugs and mammals and den-making and - made a fire! What a great day!
Plus we also got into some tooth business again which seriously looks like is going to get us bankrupt. On the other hand, however, Junior is saving all his money for something special so this tooth business is also a good way to teach him a thing or two about money.
Mukavaa loppuviikkoa! - Enjoy the rest of the week!
