Ready for the new week and why not, sunny days behind and ahead of us so not to worry. We went to Brighton last weekend bot Sat and Sun - Saturday to start a new term at Finnish Saturday School and Sunday for the long awaited Brighton Triathlon for which darling Hubby has been training for pretty much all year. Thanks to the triathlon I also found a new side of Brighton!
You so easily get so used to your trails, don't you, or pebbly beaches in this case, and so I was super excited to find a new part of Brighton - just a half a mile west from our usual hoods. New places where we def will go again. Boy I almost felt a bit silly for not having realised all this was there before. Sandy playground, nice restaurants, small beach shops. Me like, and Junior, too, we spent some really lovely time here in kids pool and sharing a burger while Hubby was was about swimming-cycling-and-running.
Täällä päässä rantaa on myös teille kaikillekorkeista paikoista tykkääville ihan must-juttu British Airways i360, joka on siis sellainen kiva 137 metriin nouseva "köysirata" tai siis näköalaterassi, josta on aivan varmasti huikeat näkymät merelle ja Brightonin ja Sussexin yli. Kokemukseen kannattaa nettisivujen mukaan varata aikaa ainakin tunti, joten meillä tämä kokemus jäi vielä to do -listalle, mutta varmasti toteutetaan vielä syksyn aikana, jos vaan Suomi-koulupäiväksi sattuu aurinkoinen, selkeä päivä.
Plus found a new spot for all of you loving heights, British Airways i360 that is, a cable car (would call it a terrace myself) which goes up to 137 meters with, I'm sure, amazing view over the sea and Brighton and Sussex. Their website says the experience takes about an hour or more if you dine so had to add this onto our to do list - but I'm sure we will do this very soon this Autumn, providing we have a great clear sunny Finnish school day on Saturday.
Mukavaa syksyistä päivää kaikille!
Have a lovely day everyone!
