It is a National Spring Cleaning Week here in the UK this week.
Our new wardrobe will arrive soon and I had a great idea of going through the contents of the current one before that. I had in fact noticed that there was so much clothes, shoes and bags I didn't really use anymore in our wardrobes - so spring cleaning time it was!
Some of my things had also sentimental value - this bag is from that holiday, this dress I wore for that party... But as there hadn't really been use for these clothes in a long long time I thought it was time to move on and say good bye. For example an orange cardigan, red heels and a floral dress got to go.
|Tästä se lähtee - A good start.|
Eventually my give away pile grew to be quite big although I must admit there were some dresses I just couldn't say farewell to. Some of the things I threw straight into the bin but was still able to donate good three big black bags full of clothes, shoes etc. to a Scope charity shop. Maybe someone else can give them a new loving home.
Samaan syssyyn sitten järjestelin paikkoja muutenkin, esimerkiksi näin:
As I was at it I did some other tidying up as well, like this:
|Ennen - Jälkeen / Before - After|
Eipä sieltä niin paljon tavaroita lähtenyt, mutta pölyä sitäkin enemmän...
It is not just things I threw away but also the amount of dust...
Then the challenge. It is time to get started and sort out that wardrobe, garage, loft, guest room - what ever it is in your home. Trust me, you feel so good afterwards. Recycle whatever you can and you will feel even better. Let's do it now!
