Now here is a free tip for all the entrepreneurs over there! Here in England small businesses do a lot more door-to-door marketing than companies in Finland do. Whenever there is something going on in the area, being it, for example, gardening or decorating, it is very likely that the company rep will be there ringing your doorbell and offering you their products or services. So far we have been offered at least left-over compost from our neighbourg's garden, cleaning and repairing windows, other cleaning services, changing doors, decorating, building a conservatory and other small this and that and odd jobs. Bought two bags of compost but all renovation I will leave to the houseowner.
I'm sure this kind of door-to-door activity adds sales of these small businesses and it surely would work in Finland, too.
